Post 6: English Language Challenges

Hi bloggers! This is my last post, and I will talk about how this English course was for me. I have to say I already had some knowledge of the language, but practice is never a bad thing… For me, to practise my speaking is really beneficious cause I don’t talk in English with anyone nowadays and pronunciation is always a hard task when you are not a native speaker.

I think listening and understanding what your hear is also hard when you are not used to it, this is why I think that the best way to improve this skill is watching movies or series in English and with English subtitles. It really helps because you are reading what you hear. After a period of time doing this, you will realise you don’t longer need subtitles to understand what you are watching.

Due to the pandemic, I think that the evaluations of the course through these posts and the videos are very suitable because these homeworks don’t require much time, therefore, the academic charge of the course is not very heavy and we can use the time left in other courses that are more difficult, I also really liked the classes and the fact that assistance was not compulsory.

VIDEOGAMES :o

Hi bloggers! Today I am going to talk about videogames, honestly I haven’t played one in a very long time, the closer I have been to a videogame was during the quarantine when I downloaded a Ludo game in my phone. It was fun to me because you were able to play online with people of all around the world, and also with your friends.

I am the youngest of my siblings, and when we were little we played in a Super Nintendo console in summer break, I really enjoyed the games we played, specially Donkey Kong and Mario Bros, they were about adventures and achieving different goals, also we played Mario Kart that was about car races. I remember that we only had two remote controls so we always struggled on who would play first.

Nowadays, I still prefer those types of games rather than war games, I believe the world is tough enough for us to use our free time to play a game that is set in a situation so extreme and violent as a war, and I could say it may be unfair for actual victims of wars that we use those situations to have fun.
